Dr. John Diana is a leading provider of minimally invasive anterior hip replacement, quadriceps sparing computer total knee arthroplastry, computer-navigated knee replacement, and MAKOplasty(R) minimally invasive partial knee resurfacing. These procedures may reduce pain, restore mobility and promote a quick return to normal activities for patients suffering from osteoarthritis and other conditions.
Certified as a MAKO™ robotic surgeon for knee and hip replacements, Dr. Diana has performed over 1500 hip replacement surgeries using the anterior hip replacement approach, and more than 3500 total knee joint replacement surgeries.
President of Napa Valley Orthopaedic Medical Group, Dr. Diana has served as Chairman of Surgery at Queen of the Valley Hospital, and is serving as Chief of the Hip Division at the Coon Joint Replacement Institute at St. Helena Hospital.
Dr. Diana is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee surgeons. An avid runner, Dr. Diana was a volunteer physician for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in 2012, and is a member of the USATF. He has also volunteered on medical teams in Guatemala and Kenya, and presented on Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery at a 2015 international medical conference in Osaka, Japan.
